For over 25 years, I have had the privilege of supporting speakers and singers to express with skill and confidence so that their natural warmth and competence can stand out.
Speaking & Confidence coaching clients have included sales representatives, attorneys, clergy, professional coaches, fitness trainers, non-profit executives, entrepreneurs, engineers and even teens.
I have been called "the voice fixer" and have a reputation for being quick to assess the negative vocal habits that are creating difficulties and offer effective, step-by-step strategies to replace them with healthy habits.
I am also intimately familiar with the frustration that voice issues and shyness or social awkwardness can create for speakers and singers. I have been hearing-impaired since birth (deaf in right ear), and had medical and dental issues that impacted my speaking and singing (TMJ jaw realignment and vocal cord paresis from a viral infection). For you curious types, that would be Superior Laryngeal Nerve Paresis on the right side).
We all have challenges that we need to find ways to transform so that we can thrive and express ourselves effectively.
I was also born into a musical family and have been singing and performing regularly since the age of three. in addition, I have enjoyed a 40+ year career of teaching in a variety of educational settings from early childhood programs, to an adjunct faculty position at the college level, to a clinic intervention setting, to transitioning into private coaching in 2000.
About Breathing:
In 2003, after observing unusual breathing patterns in a number of singers and speakers, Connie obtained an Advanced Certification in Breath Therapy. This priceless training, along with ongoing study of the breath, is foundational to cultivating a strong voice, managing our stress response and developing confidence.

Connie holds a BA in Social Work, a MS degree in Education; Advanced Certification in Breath Therapy; Certificate of Voiceworks Method & Pedagogy of Styles Training; college-level coursework in Piano Pedagogy; 10 years of private piano study; Certificates of SoP/People Skills and Presentation Skills Training and more.
